Job Summary
We are looking for a Unity Developer to join our team. You will collaborate closely with engineers, clinicians, and game designers to advance our product by creating new content and adding new features. Currently, we target iOS, Meta Quest, and PICO platforms. Strong programming, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for contributing effectively to the development process.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include creating innovative 3D VR content and features for our Unity product.
- Using C#: Design and implement systems for long-term use. Create gameplay scripts for specific content. Create tools to accelerate overall development velocity.
- Manage gameplay flow, level design, and character (NPC) functionality.
- Use and create interactive elements designed to maximize engagement and teach skills in a fun way.
- Make thoughtful decisions about the user experience with guidance from clinical experts.
- Profile and optimize our VR application to ensure smooth, consistent framerates and low latency.
- Optimize and revise environment art and character art/animations.
- Maintain clear and timely communication across our multi-time zone team to help keep your projects smoothly moving forward.
- Outside of Unity, our toolset includes: GitHub to manage our repository, JIRA to manage and track our work, LucidChart to define content and gameplay, and Google Drive for our documentation.
About You
- Passionate about game design and able to creatively solve unique and complex problems.
- Can answer product questions with programming solutions.
- Have experience with game-based learning, accessibility, or interactive therapy applications.
- Naturally curious, asks thoughtful questions, and sees challenges as opportunities to innovate.
- Have a strong desire to hone your current skillset and learn new skills, particularly with Unity.
- Capable of working independently, you also enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different teams and functions.
- Detail-oriented in your approach to development and documentation.
