Christel is a veteran in the software industry, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in the 1990s. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, she has an extensive background in cloud computing, distributed systems, cybersecurity and machine learning. Industries she has worked in include SCADA / Factory Automation, and e-commerce, where she spent 16 years at Amazon in various engineering and management roles. At Floreo Christel wears many hats, including guiding the cloud architecture of Floreo's systems and ensuring compliance with the many healthcare and education related laws that govern the industry.

Christel lives in Seattle with her partner Matt, her almost-teenaged son Marlowe, and her dog Prospect. She spends her free time with her family exploring the rainy beauty of the Pacific Northwest by foot, bicycle, and kayak, and playing guitar poorly but enthusiastically.
