By Heather | Dec 12, 2024

Our beloved characters are growing up, and we’re introducing a whole new generation of aged-up teenage characters to bring even more excitement to the Floreo story!

Learners can practice social communication and conversational skills through a game of "Getting to Know You Bingo" with these new additions in Teen Talk: Social Squares. Explore their personalities, habits, and interests through this engaging social challenge!

INFO FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF APPLIED DIGITAL THERAPY

Floreo's Director of Applied Digital Therapy, Rita Solórzano MA, CCC-SLP, is a Speech Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience.

The ability to describe an object, a place, or an event is not only an extremely functional daily living skill, but also a critical social skill and safety skill. Consider describing something that you have lost to someone at an information desk, describing your location over the phone to someone you are trying to meet, or describing an accident you witnessed earlier in the day. The dynamic nature of the events in Floreo lessons gives Learners opportunities to practice describing. You can begin by helping Learners compare and contrast salient features of objects, places, events and more.

Attention Medicaid Families

FLOREO SUBSCRIPTIONS MAY BE COVERED

Did you know that Floreo has programs in place with several state waivers? These programs, like the Children's Long Term Support waiver in Wisconsin, or the MAPS program in Tennesee will pay for a Floreo subscription and equipment rental for participating families. We have also had success with families in other states using self-directed funds or funds for assistive technology to purchase a Floreo subscription.

The best place to start is with your family's service coordinator. Chat with them to see if they can help get a Floreo subscription in place. And if they have any questions, we're always happy to help!
