New Partnerships
THE FLOREO COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO GROW
A warm welcome to our newest partners at Wattle Supports PTY LTD (Australia) who just signed up to begin their Floreo program. We look forward to helping you serve the needs of your clients and community!
Are you ready to join the Floreo family? We would love to discuss implementation in your school, district, or practice!
Attention Medicaid Families
FLOREO SUBSCRIPTIONS MAY BE COVERED
Did you know that in Wisconsin and New York families on Medicaid waivers initiated full reimbursed coverage of Floreo in the home?
If your family receives services in your state using a Medicaid waiver, you might be able to get a Floreo subscription (including equipment rental) fully covered by your state program. Reach out to us, and let’s work together to see how we can get Floreo into your home and start making a difference for your Learner.
Using Floreo in your clinic, school, or home

Use Floreo with Learners working on Executive Functioning skills. Did you know some of our content was designed specifically for individuals with needs in various Executive Functioning skills? When you scroll through the lesson menu on the iPad, look for the following categories: Focusing, Responding to Auditory Information, Emotional Regulation, and Impulse control. Then, almost any other lesson can be used to address social and or practical problem-solving!
Executive Functioning skills allow us to plan, organize, complete tasks, and problem-solve. Focusing is one of the earliest developed executive functioning skills. We need to be able to focus to work with the information we are receiving around us.
Floreo has a Skill Category devoted to "Focusing." Find That Sound addresses the skill of focusing on auditory information in the environment. Follow the Animals encourages the Learner to maintain visual focus on moving animals using short, medium and long paths. Quickly Follow a Point asks the Learner to shift focus from a communication partner to an object of interest. Focus on Yoga Instructions and Focus on Important Information about Masks addresses the ability to focus on auditory information in the presence of background sounds. Finally, Orienting to the Grocery Store and Scan the Store Shelves help the Learner focus on visual information in a practical environment.
Find that Sound, Follow the Animals, and Quickly Follow a Point may be more appropriate for younger children, whereas Focus on Yoga Instructions and Focus on Important Information about Masks may be used with older school-aged Learners. The grocery store lessons are useful for transitioning youth and young adults.

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU GAIN FUNDING FOR FLOREO?
We know that budgets can be tight, and we want to help get Floreo into the hands of anyone who needs it! Please let us know if you need help writing up your DonorsChoose application or with information for a grant you have identified. This is a great resource to find available grants.
