Hidden opportunities with Floreo!

By Heather | Feb 8, 2024
All of Floreo's lessons have designed objectives and goals. But given the engaging and immersive nature of VR, there are tons of opportunities for learning within Floreo that even we don't always think of when we design a lesson! Floreo's Director of Applied Digital Therapy, Rita Solórzano MA, CCC-SLP, is a Speech Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience and she shared some ideas for "hidden opportunities" within Floreo.
If you are interested in subscribing to Floreo, reply to this email to set up time with a member of our team, or sign up for your subscription through our self-serve subscription page!

CLOUD CHRONICLES: TALES FROM THE SKY

Have you played any of our newest lessons yet? Join members of the Floreo team to learn more about one of our new lessons: Cloud Chronicles: Tales from the Sky. By observing cloud shapes and creating stories based on them, your Learner can enjoy practicing communication, social interactions, storytelling, and creative play.

If you missed our other Fireside Chats, you can revisit Reunite the Animals here,  check out Magic Mix: Who's Next? here, and Painting with Friends here.

We would love to hear what you would like to see us build next!

Attention Medicaid Families

FLOREO SUBSCRIPTIONS MAY BE COVERED

Did you know that in Wisconsin and New York families on Medicaid waivers initiated full reimbursed coverage of Floreo in the home?

If your family receives services in your state using a Medicaid waiver, you might be able to get a Floreo subscription (including equipment rental) fully covered by your state program. Reach out to us, and let’s work together to see how we can get Floreo into your home and start making a difference for your Learner.

Other exciting developments in autism tech

QUICK SURVEY FROM MARABIO, INC.

MARAbio’s mission is to detect the MARA subtype that has been shown to be associated with more severe forms of autism.  MARA is an immune system-mediated subtype of autism that is currently estimated to represent approximately 20% of overall autism cases.

MARAbio’s test will be able to detect MARA before symptoms develop. This provides families and their physicians with options to detect early, limit severity, and ultimately prevent this subtype of autism, through pre-pregnancy and post-natal interventions.

MARAbio is asking for your assistance in learning from the autism community about their purchase preferences.  Please consider supporting their efforts and mission by completing this 2 minute survey.
